  • A Mahoning County judge postponed the trial of Andre Bailey, accused of fatally shooting Reynaldo Hernandez, to allow defense more time to prepare.  WKBN
  • An elderly couple's home in Youngstown was mistakenly riddled with over 30 bullets, with no injuries reported.  WKBN
  • A special prosecutor is requested for the retrial of Robert Moore, accused in the 2009 disappearance of Mahoning County teen Glenna Jean White, amid requests for trial delays.  WFMJ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • 190 middle school students from various districts will showcase their talent in the second annual Middle School Honor Band concert at Youngstown State University on January 11.  WFMJ

  • Youngstown City Hall's fire escape replacement, exceeding initial budgets to over $1 million due to unexpected foundation issues, has been successfully inspected and approved, allowing normal operations and council meetings to resume.  WFMJ
  • An arbitrator ruled that the city of Youngstown unjustly fired former officer Brian Flynn and ordered his reinstatement with full seniority and back pay.  WYTV
