- ➤ Agent Insurance Services donated $1,110 through its Referral Rewards Program to Youngstown Blue Coats to help provide coats, gloves, sleeping bags and other cold-weather essentials for homeless individuals & veterans. WFMJ
- ➤ Local churches, restaurants and community venues will host fish fries during Lent starting Feb. 18 through early April, offering fried and baked fish dinners with sides. To add a fish fry to the list, email ([email protected]). WFMJ

- ➤ Don Tanner will launch his new album, It’s a Large World, with a CD release show Saturday at 7 p.m. at Westside Bowl in Youngstown; his new band will perform a mix of album tracks and previews of upcoming songs. The Vindicator

- ➤ YSU President Bill Johnson announced that online classes will continue this week due to the deep freeze — he also outlined early summer plans for a $20 million first responder training and fire sciences center in East Palestine and a new satellite campus transformation at 4000 Sunset Boulevard in Steubenville. - ➤ Local students collaborated with the Austintown Historical Society in a hands-on art project led by teacher Mike Hornyak and former educator Harold Wilson. They visited historic sites during the fall semester, created slate artworks, and will donate them to help preserve heritage — a project linking art and local history. The Vindicator

- ➤ Early Wednesday, a waterline rupture forced SOBE Thermal Energy Systems to shut down its boiler in downtown Youngstown, leaving 28 customers without heat & hot water, though service was restored later that day.
