- ➤ Donna Shields has been named Director for both Alta Head Start and Early Head Start programs at Alta Care Group (she brings over 30 years of experience) and will oversee efforts to support children and families in the Valley. WFMJ
- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon in Warren, dozens of school officials met at the Trumbull County Commissioners meeting room to oppose a proposal under Ohio House Bill 96 that may lower property tax funds by millions + affect 21 districts. Tribune Chronicle
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Austintown Fire Department is among nine agencies statewide chosen to test a drone pilot program — the only one in Mahoning — that will use state-approved drones to stream video and drop supplies; training and operations will begin in spring. WFMJ
- ➤ Governor DeWine visited Robinwood Lane Elementary School Tuesday afternoon to showcase the OhioSEE program, which offers comprehensive eye care to kindergarten through third-grade students in Boardman. More than 130 students received services as part of this pilot to improve academic performance + ensure access to free eye exams. WFMJ
