The Diocese announced that 282 valley residents will join the Catholic faith by Easter, with 143 to receive baptism, confirmation and Eucharist at the April 4 Vigil and 139 to confirm after conversion.

St. Vincent de Paul sold out its first Night of Hope Gala in Trumbull County, raising funds to hit a $75,000 goal that supports its food kitchen (serving 300-400 meals daily) and other vital services.

On Saturday, Feb. 14, Youngstown Country Club (1402 Country Club Drive) hosted the OSTATKI festival with Polish cuisine, vodka tasting, live music, and raffles.
Funds raised will support PolishYoungstown’s cultural programs, and Paczki, Polkas and Piwo is set for Feb. 17 at Kravitz Delicatessen.
Fifteen young artists in the Inspiring Minds Youngstown Scholars program showcased paintings, drawings, and poetry at the Michael Kusalaba Library on Mahoning Avenue Saturday during the Black Artist Art Show — their work will remain on display through February for Black History Month.
