- ➤ Registration is open for the second annual Corporate Pinball Challenge+ Fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. March 24 at Past Times Pinball and Video Arcade at 419 N. State St., with lunch included+ free practice on March 17. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ Canfield Fairgrounds' Michael Kusalaba Event Center will host the 75th annual Home & Garden Show from Feb. 27 to March 1, where visitors can explore remodeling ideas and landscaping tips and enter a contest to win outdoor furniture (admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 12). - ➤ At the fourth annual Be Mine adoption event at Eastwood Mall in Niles, the Animal Welfare League (AWL) hosted a pet adoption gathering over two days where 15 pets found new homes on Friday and Saturday. - ➤ Sixteen family-owned businesses will be honored at the Fifth Annual Family-Owned Business Recognition Dinner on Wednesday at The Lake Club in Poland. - ➤ Youngstown State University announced it will offer associate degree and certificate programs at its Steubenville campus (the former Eastern Gateway Community College site) starting Fall 2026 to meet regional workforce demand. WFMJ

- ➤ Monday marked the start of Ohio Loves Transit Week led by WRTA to honor public transit’s vital role — encouraging community input on broader investment. On Tuesday, CEO Dean Harris will meet lawmakers to discuss how transit boosts workforce mobility and quality of life in the Mahoning Valley. WFMJ
- ➤ The Ohio Power Siting Board will vote on a revised 6.25-mile, 138-kV power line project connecting Youngstown substations and supporting local growth; the $27 million project is expected to begin November 2027 and reduce outages for over 15,000 customers. The Vindicator
- ➤ A stretch of Mahoning Avenue in Jackson Township closed on Monday for a 20-foot by 6-foot concrete box culvert installation as part of an upgrade project and is set to remain closed for 67 days with a detour via Mahoning Avenue, Route 45, Route 224, and State Route 534. WFMJ
