- ➤ A tree dedicated to Da'Mar McKinney will be planted in Mohican-Memorial State Forest today by the Youth Peace & Justice Foundation under its Trees for Peace initiative honoring his memory. WFMJ
- ➤ At its annual Night of Hope gala held at Second Baptist Church in Warren, organizers urged residents to support Trumbull County Children Services by considering foster & adoptive care while honoring Pastor Todd Johnson before his move to New York City. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ HAP Bingo - a community fundraiser - held its event Friday night at Wedgewood Plaza, where players tried the Aces Are Wild pulltab game with a jackpot over $30,000. The longstanding event since 1955 also collected food for local pantries and brought residents together. The Vindicator
- ➤ Youngstown Skatepark Association held a pop-up skatepark Saturday at Penguin City Brewing, drawing 160 riders and over 300 spectators to boost funds for a permanent free skate park. - ➤ Kierstin Richoz from Girard High School won first place for her coin designs at an Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education contest at a statehouse event in Columbus. She will film a second-grade classroom at E.J. Blott Elementary in Liberty on Friday to highlight the TCTC Tales literacy program. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ Canfield school officials met in a special work session to explore tax-levy options—reviewing a potential additional permanent improvement levy and a bond issue that may appear on the November ballot to fund necessary facility upgrades and urgent repairs. The Vindicator
- ➤ TCTC interactive multimedia student Kierstin Richoz from Girard High won first prize for her coin designs at the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education contest held at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus. Her revised designs will be used on coins given to OACTE honorees. The Vindicator
