- ➤ Cumulus Media filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 5 but said its local radio stations will keep operating with no change for employees, partners or listeners. CEO Mary Berner said the move is part of a restructuring plan to cut $600 million in debt and invest in digital content. WFMJ

- ➤ At the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame in East Liverpool, his legacy is celebrated through more than 100 inductions that honor his belief that everyday people can do extraordinary things + the museum at 120 East 5th Street highlights community strength and humility. WFMJ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ 14-year-old Ben Beers from Canfield High is now a probationary member of Venturing Crew 1944 (organized under Scouting America) which meets monthly at the MAPS Air Museum at Akron-Canton Airport. He learns about WWII history through hands-on training and authentic gear requirements ahead of upcoming reenactments. The Vindicator
- ➤ Victory Christian School hosted a Literacy Night on Pleasant Valley Road on Thursday, offering K-5 families hands-on stations in phonics, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension while connecting them with teachers. WFMJ

- ➤ The Ohio House passed a bill to form the Ohio Defense and Space Commission to guide state defense and aerospace work; the measure moves to the Senate while construction begins this summer on the Youngstown Innovation Hub, expected to boost the local economy + create jobs. The Vindicator
- ➤ In Champion, the board met Wednesday to address organizational needs for the Mercy Health emergency complex by approving a 2.5% income tax on workers (revenue will split 55% for Champion Township and 45% for Warren) and by retaining a CPA and attorney while adopting a records retention policy.
