High winds caused a power outage that closed the Boardman branch of the Public Library at 7680 Glenwood Ave all day Saturday — over 800 outages were reported by 8:30 a.m. according to FirstEnergy’s map in Mahoning County.

The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership in Warren is revising its strategic plan to build new single-family homes and expand emergency home repair efforts to stabilize neighborhoods and support economic growth.

Leaders plan to construct up to 10 new homes within the next year as part of the initiative.
