- ➤ Documents obtained by sources show Insight Trumbull may cut up to 164 jobs, including 88 nurse positions, after a recent pause in non-emergency admissions, with union officials set to meet hospital leadership in the coming days. A hospital spokesperson said the move is meant to realign staffing and maintain services 24/7 — outpatient and inpatient care in Austintown and Cortland will continue. WFMJ

- ➤ Primary Compass, a 22-foot tall steel and glass sculpture weighing five tons, now sits between the Butler Institute and Youngstown State University Maag Library after being in storage since 2019 — crews are finishing the installation this week as damaged glass panels will be replaced. - ➤ Youngstown State University police added a new K-9 officer this week when Barkley, a 1.5-year-old German Shepherd, began patrol for explosives and firearm detection. - ➤ Cyle Barnes and Austin Swigger graduated from SCORE Court at the Mahoning County Courthouse on Wednesday, March 19; Judge Anthony Donofrio said the program and community partners—providing treatment, training, and housing support—helped them move from prison back into community life. WFMJ

- ➤ Akron Children’s Hospital announced it will open a Food Farmacy at its Boardman campus to help income-eligible families with food insecurity by providing a three to five-day food supply. The pantry will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on March 24. WFMJ
