- ➤ The Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office now opposes the potential release of Barry Goodwin, 47, who shot Wesley Moore in May 1998, saying his over 100 disciplinary infractions—including recent acts of violence—make his freedom a public safety risk after 27 years of incarceration. The Vindicator

Palmyra Rd., Canfield (behind the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center) from (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.). - ➤ Mayor Doug Franklin will hold a press conference at noon today at Warren City Hall to explain the city's view on planned closings and layoffs at Insight Hospital & Medical Center Trumbull. The news conference follows a class-action lawsuit that claimed hundreds of hospital workers were laid off without the required 60-day notice, unpaid accrued vacation or continued health care benefits.
