- ➤ Mill Creek MetroParks welcomed local residents on Saturday for its annual Farm Animal Baby Shower held at its farm on (Columbiana-Canfield Road), where families saw newborn goats, piglets, cows, chicks and ducklings and watched a sheep being sheared. The farm is open daily (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and will extend hours to 5 p.m. from June through October. WYTV
- ➤ At Noble Creature Wild Ales and Lagers in Youngstown Saturday, community members gathered for the Earth and Aether Day fundraiser to support WildYou, a nonprofit that reconnects people with nature through education and recreation (featuring programs such as wildflower walks and birdwatching). - ➤ Residents in Champion Township experienced heavy flooding affecting several properties—following heavy rainfall on Friday—and local authorities are assessing the damage to plan cleanup efforts. WFMJ
- ➤ Heavy overnight rain and wind flooded homes in the Walnut Creek area of Cortland Saturday morning, leaving several residents without power and prompting fire officials to advise affected households to shut off power and call Ohio Edison after an electrician inspects the system. Flooding also caused ponding water along Route 87 near the Trumbull County Fairgrounds, and the county emergency team urged residents to contact their insurance companies for flood damage. WYTV
