- ➤ Louis Underwood, 69, was booked on East Side after an early Sunday chase following a traffic stop at McGuffey Road and Berkley Avenue—police recovered a gun, brass knuckles, and cocaine from his car, and he faces five felony charges with arraignment scheduled on Monday. WKBN
- ➤ Preston Hall received a suspended jail sentence with credit for time served and will be on probation for three years—he is ordered to have no contact with the homeowner—after trespassing at a Liberty Township home on Logan Arms Drive on March 19. WYTV
- ➤ Youngstown police and U.S. Marshals say the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for tips on fugitives Vincent Marbley (59, 5 ft 6 in, 145 lbs) and Eddie Winphrie (41, 5 ft 9 in, 262 lbs) wanted for murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the Oct. 17 killing of Reynaldo Hernandez on the East Side in the 2300 block of Bott Street. - ➤ The Kimberly-Clark project in Trumbull County received a 1.837% tax credit on Monday—this support, along with a 60% tax abatement and $17 million approved for cleanup and an access road, will help drive plans for a new facility that is set to create 491 full-time jobs and generate $49.1 million in payroll by December 2030. Kimberly-Clark still must complete its review process to finalize the project that competes with a similar proposal in North Carolina. WYTV

- ➤ Western Reserve Health Education asked the Texas bankruptcy court for a protective order last week to stop Steward from getting its IRIS database after a record request on April 16. The group said the data holds private student details and is not owned by Steward—so the request broke the rules and the court has not granted the order yet. WYTV
- ➤ Hubbard High School junior Jackson Corbett earned a perfect ACT score of 36 in February and hopes his top score will help him attend Harvard for engineering—he had scored 30 and 32 on earlier tests—while less than one percent of test takers achieve this feat. WYTV
- ➤ Youngstown State University will hold spring commencement ceremonies on May 2 and May 3 in the main gym at Beeghly Physical Education Center—each college starts at a set time.
