- ➤ Thrive Mahoning Valley will hold a fundraising dinner tonight to raise money for an immigration law clinic planned to serve local residents & gather community support for the project. WFMJ
- ➤ Good Vibes Thrift Store on the west side will soon install a colorful owl mural by local artist Mike Egan to revitalize the neighborhood. Funded by three years of store profits and a city facade grant, the installation begins in the coming days at the Mahoning Avenue location (near Schenley). WFMJ

- ➤ Gorant Dessert Bar is debuting new menu items as it celebrates its anniversary this weekend, with chocolate expert Johnathon Fauvie introducing innovative drinks (crafted specially to add a twist to the celebration). WFMJ

- ➤ Struthers announced its annual Music at Mauthe concert series with local bands performing at Mauthe Park at 6 p.m. on Thursdays, plus one Friday show in July, from June 11 through Aug. 20 — sponsored by Aqua and featuring a food truck for on-site meals. WFMJ

- ➤ Mia Clark, an East High freshman, and 19 other student ambassadors shared ideas at the board meeting at Youngstown Rayen Early College to help ease the transition as Chaney and East merge into one high school, set to open in 2026‑27. They aim to improve conflict resolution and school unity. The Vindicator
- ➤ Youngstown State University will hold four commencement ceremonies at Beeghly Center on Friday and Saturday to honor over 2,000 graduates, featuring keynote addresses from Matt Kresic (for Bitonte College) and Mayor Derrick McDowell for the liberal arts track. - ➤ At a Tuesday breakfast at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland, 56 high school seniors received awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 and saw the organization present its one millionth dollar donation to fill monetary gaps in their education.
