- ➤ On May 16, local leaders in Glenwood held a meeting where residents shared ideas that shaped a new plan for neighborhood improvements. The plan will guide future community projects — more details are expected soon. WFMJ
- ➤ Hubbard City Chaplains hosted a memorial service Saturday morning to honor peace officers who died or were injured while Mission BBQ in Boardman recognized active-duty servicemen with a colors presentation and free sandwiches for veterans. The events celebrated community service. WFMJ
- ➤ Karen McCallum explained that the Baby Bargain Boutique event at Boardman Park will allow families to shop for children’s items soon. Local organizers expect the community gathering to offer a fresh and welcoming shopping experience for kids and parents. WFMJ
- ➤ Second Harvest Food Bank held the Feed the Need .1-Mile Fun Run yesterday at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. Runners registered by 10:45 a.m., with races for kids at 11 a.m. and adults at 11:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at noon and family-friendly activities afterwards. WFMJ

- ➤ St. Rose Catholic School held its first-ever Police Appreciation Day on May 10 in Girard to honor local law enforcement.
