- ➤ All Mercer County Rite Aids will close after A&G Real Estate Partners added Farrell and Greenville to its list—court documents show that the Sharon and Hermitage locations will shut while Mercer and Grove City are holding liquidation sales. Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy on May 6 and will stop accepting gift cards starting June 5 even as nearly all of its 1,240 stores are set for sale, though the exact closure dates remain unclear. WYTV
- ➤ Novo Nordisk filed a federal lawsuit in Youngstown on Wednesday against Amble Health Inc. — a platform that claims to offer personalized online care — alleging that the Ohio firm falsely advertises mass-produced compounded weight-loss drugs and is seeking monetary damages and an injunction to stop the deceptive practices. - ➤ A city man, 20-year-old Davonte McElroy, was held without bond after he was charged with attempting to murder two officers in an October 13 incident in Warren—he failed to appear in court since December and his case was sent to a Trumbull County grand jury. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ Jesse Pace admitted breaking into a home on Hayes Avenue in McDonald and assaulting police officers, and was sentenced yesterday by Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to 9.5 to 13.5 years—he punched one officer and spat on another. WKBN
- ➤ A 35-year-old man from Warren was arrested after being charged with recording two women in a bathroom at a residence, and he is scheduled for a video court hearing on May 30 after a no-contact order and a $5,000 bond were set by Municipal Court Judge Patty Knepp. Tribune Chronicle
