- ➤ Former Lordstown Motors executives are asking a federal judge to drop a lawsuit that accuses them of misleading investors about truck pre-orders—saying the suit lacks enough proof under federal rules. - ➤ A ribbon was cut Wednesday morning as WesBanco moved into its new space at 275 W. Federal St. in downtown Youngstown—changing the building from its past as Home Savings Building and Premier Bank while the bank donated $5,000 to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. WYTV

- ➤ Vienna’s former fiscal officer Linda McCullough rejected a plea deal and waived her right to a jury trial—she will face a bench trial Monday in Warren after being charged with theft, record tampering and telecommunications fraud. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ Liberty Township police say a Hercules trailer, Toyota 4-Runner, four wheeler and lawnmower were stolen from a home that exploded last Saturday killing 34-year-old Justin Braun and injuring a four-year-old child—cameras later showed a Toyota towing the trailer at 12:48 a.m. Monday while no suspects or property have been found. - ➤ A man in Boardman fell victim to a scam when he received multiple calls from someone falsely claiming he won $10.5 million and a Mercedes-Benz from Publishers Clearing House — the scammer pressed him to send $3,400 in cash for processing fees and later demanded extra money before his family exposed the fraud. - ➤ Beginning July 1, Ohio training academies will start a new law enforcement curriculum that replaces 72 hours of outdated courses with practical training in active shooter response, crisis de-escalation, and critical decision-making — the changes are mandatory by Jan 1, 2026.
