- ➤ COMPASS Family and Community Services and Community Corrections Association voted unanimously to merge under a single legal entity — both groups will keep their current facilities and services unchanged. CCA CEO Dave Stillwagon will serve as CEO of COMPASS starting June 28 and later lead the new parent organization after reorganization is complete on October 1, while Joe Caruso transitions to Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital. - ➤ Solon police say a 63-year-old man lost over $1M to a cryptocurrency scam when a Facebook friend convinced him to invest in a fake company called Coinget—he realized the fraud when penalties and taxes were charged for withdrawing funds, and officers are now trying to identify the scammer while warning investors across Northeast Ohio. - ➤ A North Side home on Kensington Avenue was hit by gunfire early Monday morning—police said a woman reported her son was inside when a suspect in a parked car fired several shots and later left as officers recovered seven spent .40-caliber shell casings from the street. WKBN
- ➤ Youngstown Police Department joined forces with Ohio State Highway Patrol and Meridian HealthCare to start a plan to cut crime that runs from Thursday until Aug. 1—Meridian HealthCare will give mental health and drug help after arrests to make Mahoning County safer. WYTV

- ➤ Ohio and Pennsylvania joined other states in a $9.345 million settlement with five investment companies over alleged overcharging fees on small stock trades. In Ohio, at least 40,000 investors lost nearly $600,000 and the firms will repay affected customers plus 6% interest—regulators said new rules will help prevent future overcharges. WFMJ
- ➤ Ohio investors who used Edward Jones, LPL Financial, RBC, Stifel or TD Ameritrade will soon receive restitution as part of a $9.3 million settlement after regulators found the firms charged excessive commissions on over 1.12 million small-dollar equity transactions—40,000 Ohio investors have already reported nearly $600,000 in losses. The settlement will provide affected customers with funds plus 6% interest from each transaction date while the firms agree to implement safeguards to prevent future overcharges. WKBN
