- ➤ A local family in Austintown held a fundraiser on Saturday to honor their late family members and raise money for veteran suicide prevention by hosting a raffle for Adopt a Soldier — 22 Too Many. The event has been held annually since 2023 in memory of Jen Costello and Marine Corps veteran Jake Crewson, with past events raising over $1,000 for each group. WYTV
- ➤ Residents watched a candlelight vigil held Saturday night by the Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters in front of the Mahoning County Courthouse—honoring past protestors and standing for freedom and justice. The group will march downtown at 6 p.m. on July 17 to continue its peaceful protest. WYTV
