- ➤ Organizers in Youngstown announced the 2025 Panerathon event set for August 24 at the Covelli Centre, featuring a 10K run/walk and a two-mile fun run with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Participants who sign up will be automatically entered in a giveaway that includes two tickets to see John Mayer live at Wean Park + a $25 Panera Bread gift card + a Holiday Inn stay with two meals + round-trip transportation by Fab Limo while the event supports a charity that has raised over $5 million for Mercy Health Foundation’s breast cancer center. - ➤ Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald Rice, 69, was charged with DUI and improper handling of a firearm after his Mini Cooper lost control in a one-vehicle crash on Friday on Scoville North Road in Vienna where he suffered minor injuries—he is set to be arraigned today. WKBN

- ➤ State Route 45 in Bristol Township closed today between State Route 88 and Hyde Oakfield Road for a culvert replacement and will remain closed through Thursday, July 24. Drivers are advised to follow the detour via State Route 88 — State Route 534 to State Route 87. WFMJ
- ➤ Champion Township Trustees will hold a special meeting today at 6 p.m. at the Township Administration Building—240 Marshall Ave to discuss flooding that has affected local homes after heavy rains. In April, residents on Downs Road NW and Schaffer Road NW reported severe water damage, with one noting nearly an acre of her property was underwater. WFMJ
- ➤ EMT Ambulance will open a new outpost Monday at the former Fire Station 2 on Oak and Fruit Streets—ribbon-cutting is at 10 a.m.—to cut response times on the east and north sides as the city reviews a feasibility study for a city-run ambulance service. WFMJ

- ➤ Emergency Medical Transport opened its third ambulance service at the former Fire Station No.2 on Oak Street Monday to boost response times on the East Side; the company spent $165,000 to improve the building after purchasing it for $46,320 and now runs one main ambulance and a backup + the city renewed its three-year service contract with planned increases in 2026 and 2027.
