- ➤ Youngstown CityScape launched its annual mum sale to support local beautification by offering mums, notecards, kale, cabbage and fall combos for online orders. Customers can select a pickup date on Aug. 27, Aug. 28, Sept. 3 or Sept. 4 at 250 E. Federal Street — free parking is provided. WKBN
- ➤ August in Youngstown is busy with community events—Alice Cooper will perform at the amphitheatre on Aug. 17th, the city will hold its annual Panerathon race on Aug. 24th, the Penguins will host a football game on Aug. 28th, and the inaugural Pickle Fest will take place on Aug. 16th among other planned events. - ➤ Lake Milton Women’s League will host a beach arts and crafts show Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Milton State Park with 120 vendors and food trucks — funds raised will support park upgrades and fire department equipment as in past shows. WKBN

- ➤ A man fell off a roof while putting shingles on a building in Mesopotamia Township and is in critical condition, officials said. WFMJ
- ➤ Firefighters put out a house fire at the 200 block of Coitsville Hubbard Road on Wednesday morning—no one was hurt and officials said the cause is still unknown while the home remains livable. WKBN

- ➤ Fox's Pizza Den held its grand opening on Wednesday morning at 7530 Market Street in Boardman — the chain plans to open more locations in Mahoning, Trumbull, Portage and Summit Counties. WFMJ

- ➤ Kaitlan Adams died on August 3 after she suddenly collapsed at her home in Sharon — her husband Cade honored her memory by donating her organs. Her heart was given to Nasasha Parker while her kidney and liver helped two other patients — offering a new hope amid deep loss. WFMJ
- ➤ Today, the American Red Cross is asking community blood donors to make an appointment before August 28 and is especially seeking O positive and B negative donations. Donors will get free A1C testing— a check for diabetes risks— and a $15 e-gift card, with local drives planned in Youngstown and nearby areas starting August 8. WKBN
