- ➤ Youngstown Cityscape is inviting nominations for its 19th beautification awards—honoring outstanding yards, gardens and landscapes on November 13. The non-profit will accept online entries until September 30 from individuals, businesses and organizations. WKBN
- ➤ Protesters gathered outside Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport on Sunday to protest alleged ICE flights that reportedly transport migrants to Louisiana, Texas, and Mexico—claims the airport has not yet addressed. The demonstrators said the flights bypass due process, urging locals to be aware of potential federal immigration actions in the area. WFMJ

- ➤ A driver hit three Burger King signs in front of Arby's on Mahoning Avenue in Champion Township just before 3 a.m. Monday; troopers suspected drugs and took the driver to the hospital. WKBN
- ➤ Police investigated an SUV that lost control Monday morning on Fernwood and Mahoning avenues when it hit a wooden fence and demolished a patio at a West Side home; the driver declined medical help, no one was in the home, and authorities are checking if a citation will be issued. WKBN

- ➤ Foxconn Technology Co. announced plans to invest $1 billion in the United States over the next decade to boost smart manufacturing, robotics, and advanced automation. The company is selling its former GM plant in Lordstown to SoftBank but will continue operating the facility+ deepen its North American presence and supply chain cooperation. WFMJ

- ➤ A 14-year-old boy from Boardman was arrested for felony aggravated robbery after he allegedly robbed a peer at a lemonade stand on Fifth Avenue at 4:51 p.m. Friday—officers later recovered the stolen money and bag. The Vindicator
- ➤ Jury selection began Monday in the trial of Akeem Hargrove (32) who faces charges of aggravated murder for the fatal shooting of Devin Bell (26) at a Shell gas station in Youngstown on Dec. 22, 2022, with special prosecutors asking jurors to view the crime scene. WFMJ
- ➤ Jury selection was underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for Akeem Hargrove, 32, accused of aggravated murder in connection with the December 22 shooting death of Devin Bell at the South Avenue Shell Station—and police later charged a second man, Zachary Bair, in the case. WKBN
