- ➤ Youngstown police credit new Flock cameras and teamwork for a drop in violent crime, recording 11 homicides from Sept 1 last year to Aug this year—the lowest since 1967—and noting that 2025 has seen nine homicides and 34 shootings so far compared to higher numbers last year. WKBN
- ➤ Liberty trustees approved demolition for a trailer and other structures at 1182 Churchill Hubbard Road after five fires from suspected arson left them unsafe — property owners have 20 days to request a hearing before demolition begins. Tribune Chronicle
- ➤ Three members of Ursuline's coaching staff—head coach Dan Reardon and assistant coaches Tim McGlynn and Christian Syrianoudis—were placed on administrative leave Monday after a federal lawsuit alleged hazing during a summer camp trip that involved a player assault, and Michael Frasco was named interim head coach for the season.
