GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Youngstown city council will vote Wednesday to let officials pay a $739,500 penalty for missing key deadlines on a major wastewater project — the payment is due Oct. 2. David Thomas introduced the Senior Protection from Foreclosure Act in the Ohio House to keep seniors in their homes if they make any form of payment on delinquent property taxes—applying to those living in homes valued under $750,000.
