Scott Ferry, a father from Trumbull County nominated for the national Ace Hardware Super Dad contest, is currently in 7th place.
Voting will begin Sept. 24 (when the field narrows) with a final winner to be announced by Dec. 10 to receive $25,000 and a commercial spot.

Youngstown State University hosted a vintage baseball game yesterday in Mill Creek Park as part of its America 250 celebration.
The event began with a Q&A session at noon and a game at 1:30 p.m. at Volney Rogers Field (attendees brought lawn chairs or blankets), and was free for all.

MCCTC unveiled its new Medical Wellness & Education Center Saturday, Sep.
