  • Tuesday's snow canceled Warren's annual parade, but over 100 people gathered at First Presbyterian Church to honor local veterans—focusing on women who served. • On Tuesday, a 106-year-old veteran was honored at an assisted living facility in Youngstown for her World War II service as a lieutenant who cared for soldiers in England and France. Community Relations Director Doug Love said the event was held to give veterans recognition while they still could receive it—veteran Robert Pittman, a retired sergeant, was honored as well.  WKBN
  • Military veterans were honored on Veterans Day at Heritage Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation during an event sponsored by SouthernCare Hospice and Senior Living. Army veteran Phillip Floyd (from Warren) received his long-awaited LaBrae High School diploma arranged by his wife while Marine veteran Anthony Tisler remembered the soldiers who died for freedom.  Tribune Chronicle
  • On Tuesday, about 100 volunteers packed 2,500 meal kits and snack bags at the United Way Volunteer Center to support local families impacted by the loss of SNAP benefits during the government shutdown—each kit supplies ingredients for a meal for six people and includes food pantry details. A $100,000 donation from trustee James Sisek helped fund the effort, and schools will distribute the kits to assist those in need.  WKBN
  • Spanning the Need and 330ToGO have partnered to launch The Christmas Loop, a self-guided drive-through display featuring decorated homes, lights and inflatables across Northeast Ohio and the Mahoning Valley.
