Local groups, businesses and students honored veterans last weekend by placing wreaths at Girard and Niles cemeteries on National Wreaths Across America Day.

Coordinated by community leaders, the event placed nearly 2,400 wreaths — a heartfelt tribute to those who served.

Shirley Price and Shirley Stoops-Frantz were honored this week at Bristol Public Library for decades of service on its board; they will step down on Dec.

31 + community members can drop off cards to recognize their contributions.

Campbell City Schools got a $200K grant from Delta Dental Foundation to build eight dental rooms at the new MVWRC in the under-construction CHCDC in Campbell.

The center will offer dental care and training for high school and adult learners and will open in August 2026.

The Champion Board of Education is accepting applications from residents to fill the vacancy after Aaron Abrahamson’s term ends—application packets are available at the board office until 4 p.m. Jan.
