- ➤ Youngstown will host the second annual Cinco on Phelps event to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with music, food, live entertainment, and activities. - ➤ Youngstown State University received a donation of $272,000 from the estate of late special education teacher Evelyn Stephens to support programs through its Kilcawley: Centered on the Future campaign. - ➤ Youngstown officials are considering a DOJ grant to help the police department hire 15 new officers and buy new vehicles; if approved by council, funds will be available starting in July and must be spent by September 30, 2029.
