- ➤ Three Valley teachers were awarded $1,000 in mini-grants to boost classroom resources for students with autism. They were chosen from more than 30 applicants across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties—Donna Stewart received $200 to set up a drink and cookie stand, Christy Pepperney got $300 for a calming corner, and Andrea Wasko received $500 to build a greenhouse for teaching life skills.
